Human Hypertension Kidney Epithelial Cells are grown in T25 tissue culture flasks pre-coated with gelatin-based coating solution for 2 min and incubated in \u003ci\u003eCell Biologics’\u003c\/i\u003e Culture Complete Growth Medium generally for 3-7 days. Cultures are then expanded. Prior to shipping, cells at passage 3 are detached from flasks and immediately cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains at least 0.5x10\u003csup\u003e6\u003c\/sup\u003e cells per ml. The method we use to isolate primary epithelial cells was developed based on a combination of established and our proprietary methods. Cells are incubated with EpCAM-1 (CD326) antibody, followed by the application of magnetic beads pre-coated with secondary antibody.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003cu\u003eProduct Testing\u003c\/u\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eHuman Hypertension Kidney Epithelial Cells from \u003ci\u003eCell Biologics\u003c\/i\u003e are tested for expression of markers using antibody, E-cadherin (Catalog No. 610182 BD) or ZO-1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog No. 617300; Life Technologies) by immunofluorescence staining. All cells test negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. HIV-1, hepatitis B and hepatitis C are not detected for all donors and\/or cell lots. Per request, a Certificate of Analysis will be provided for each cell lot purchased.
