Cells at passage 2-3 are harvested from flasks and cryo-preserved in vials. Each vial contains 0.5x10\u003csup\u003e6\u003c\/sup\u003e cells per ml and is delivered frozen. Aged Rat Primary Skeletal Muscle Cells are characterized by immunofluorescence staining with antibodies of myosin and\/or actinin and are negative for bacteria, yeast, fungi, and mycoplasma. These cells can be expanded for 2-3 passages at a split ratio of 1:2 under the cell culture conditions specified by Cell Biologics.
